Anybody used this NPS park? What were your impressions? We are considering it for our trip to DC. Thanks.

Havent been there, but researched it for my own trip. The reviews on RV Park Reviews are very positive. If you have the NPS Senior Discount Card, I believe camping is half price. Just be aware that there are no hookups.

We have stayed many times over the last 35 years. It is a beautiful park about 2 miles from the Metro station which is the best way to visit DC. As mentioned there are no hookups. Dump station and water are available. It gets pretty hot there in the Summer so if you must have Air conditioning you may look elsewhere. All services are very close by. Be aware, if you use the Metro, you must have a prepaid card to get OUT of the Metro parking lot. Check out their website for info. If you are a senior you can get discounted Metro fares at a local supermarket on the way to the Metro station. The site lists names and locations. Golden age card gets you 50% off on camping at Greenbelt NP.

It is forested, the sites fairly big, and they keep the park pretty clean. It's a nice campground if you can get by withour hook ups. Right now only B & D loop are open. A loop is for scouts and other groups. D loop has larger sites for big rigs. There are no pull throughs. D loop is closest to the dump station and water fill.
