I recently purchased a used Attitude 25AK and am really enjoying it. However, I have had one issue that I'm struggling with and that's filling the fresh water tank. Everything I've read says that they fresh tank simply fills up with a hose. Mine is not quite so simple. I use a hose but have to put the hose in the fill hole and plug the hole so that some pressure build up in the fresh tank which eventually blows the vent tube clear and allows the tanks to fill. In the end I can only get the tanks about 2/3 full before a water stream flows out of the vent tube. I cannot get the tanks completely full. There are two tanks connected to the fill line and I noticed that when I looked at the vent lines (that come off the top of the tanks) that they droop below the fill line. Is my problem that the vent is getting a water plug not allowing air to flow out the vent. I've leveled the trailer and still have the problem. It would take a bit of work to re-route the vent line but would do it if I have to. Has anyone had a similar situation?

Don't know about your tanks configuration. On mine, I bought a short white fresh water hose and cut it in half. I stick the hose down the fill tube and turn the water on. When I see water coming out the fill tube around the white hose, it is full.
I use the other half of the hose for winterizing.

Be careful, there are reports on this forum of guys pressure filling their tanks and overfilling or overpressurizing and doing damage to cabinets of the floor. Most use a short hose to go into the fill tube about 6", that should leave an opening around it for air to escape.

Check your fill line from the fitting, it might be going slightly uphill. Also check the vent line to be sure there isn't a kink in it between the tank and fitting.

Use a smaller hose, like a clothes washer hose to allow air to escape.

Similar but not as bad. When I fill my fresh water tank it gurgles at first (which tells me it's filling) but then stops gurgling. Suddenly air (and some water) with spit out of the air vent, which suggest to me that an air lock is occuring somewhere in the line. I let it subside and then continue to fill until the tank is full. Not sure why this happens.

I know someone who had a similar situation... they were filling too fast and trapping air.

Try slowing down.

I use a small 2ft section of white hose connected to regular garden hose which I then slide down halfway into the fill hole. I take over an hour to fill my 150g fresh water tank.

It takes 45 mins to fill my tanks, I go very slow.
You should have an overflow somewhere.
I fill my tanks until I see water coming out my overflow, then I turn the hose off. I then open my fresh water drain for like 10 secs to just take a little out.

I bought something like this:

to fill my fresh water tank. It has an open/close valve so you can control the flow. When I start filling at full rate, air and water gurgle and spit out of the little vent hole, so I know it's filling. Then it stops and is quiet. My owner's manual states that when water starts spilling out of the main opening, the tank is full. That's when I turn off the water .

Ditto here exactly, have the one with the 90 so the hose doesn't fall out.

Pressure filling, especially on older tanks, will eventually lead to cracks on the top of the tank. Slow it down, and either cut the end of a hose off to make it smaller, or buy one of those fillers VirtualGarage posted. Buying the cheapest, shortest hose you can find at your local Big Box store, cutting the fitting off the end of it and attaching it to your existing hose is your cheapest solution.
