Hi, I had an attitude and now have a stellar. the only way I can fill up both is to put the hose in as far as it will go (about 4 feet)and turn it all the way up. you have to watch it so you can turn it off as soon as it is full.

Mine does the gurgle thing that aijo17 described. When I filled slowly, water just comes out of the fill tube. The only way to get the tanks more than 1/3 full was to turn up the flow rate. I'm going to 1st try the fill tube that VirtualGarage showed. If that doesn't work I'll try a longer fill tube? Is re-routing the vent tubes difficult. I think that they should not dip below the top of my tanks. I'm hesitant to mess with them because I don't want to screw up a tank.

I fill it slow and easy. The square tanks cannot stand any "Pressure" and can crack easily.

When I start filling at full rate, air and water gurgle and spit out of the little vent hole, so I know it's filling. Then it stops and is quiet. My owner's manual states that when water starts spilling out of the main opening, the tank is full. That's when I turn off the water .
That's what we use, and we don't have any problems.

I've had two of those that don't work. I think it's a matter of flow rate.... slow in my case.
How fast do you fill your tank?

Same problem. I fill slowly and if it gurgles a lot or won't take a full tank, I carefully blow out the vent. Water gets trapped in the plumbing for the vent and won't correctly vent the tank when filling. A very small amount of air blown thru the vent totally eliminates the problem.

I usually fill up at home with no issues. On our last trip (Mammoth) I filled up at a camp ground and the water pressure was ridiculous (too much pressure). I was amazed at how fast my tanks filled only to find out later that my tanks were only 2/3 full.

I noticed that when I looked at the vent lines (that come off the top of the tanks) that they droop below the fill line. Is my problem that the vent is getting a water plug not allowing air to flow out the vent.
It would be better if you would get the vent line(s) to the top of the tanks or higher this will let any water that gets in the vent line to drain as you use water out of the tanks, also as others have said use a smaler hose to go in the filler tube.
