well it finally happened. i have a broken front window on my old "real-lite" camper. was traveling to Cedar Point in Ohio and a hawk flew up from the road and hit the grill of my truck and hit the window on the camper. Its not broken but has a large star crack. I know i will never find a replacement. . Its NOT a show camper just a beater for weekends snowmobiling, atv, nascar and amusement parks.
wondering what to do to save it?

I am not aware of what you are looking at. Obviously not a flat piece of glass. Maybe if you posted a pic someone could give you some good ideas.
Capt PJ completely eliminated the front window on one of his campers!!!

Is it just flat glass? Go to a glass shop and have them cut you a new pane to fit the opening.
Or, if you don't like the window, go to the metal yard and have them shear you a piece of 16 ga galvanized sheet to fit the opening and put that in instead of a pane of glass.

Are the edges flat? If it's just a bubble window with flat edges, you can replace it with something flat. Tread plate aluminum would be a good choice too.

In your pic it appears that replacing with something flat shouldn't be a problem.

Looks like a glass shop could easily replace the windows with flat glass. Probably the least expensive option too.

I don't know if it's a law but isn't that front window safety glass? Back in the old days kids used to ride up there and look out it but probably no one does that anymore. I don't think the blind on the front window of our Lance has been opened in the past 10 years. That's probably why new units don't even have the window - less expense and weight for something that serves no purpose.
Our first camper was an old King of the Road and, believe it or not, that front window actually swung open.
