Our campsite at Bear Den CG.

Another campsite photo.

Nature photo #1.

Linville River above Linville Fals.

Another Linville River photo.

Blue Ridge Parkway Overlook.

Lunch on the parkway.

Cooking burgers at a Blue Ridge Parkway overlook.

Some waterfall we hiked to from Bear Den CG.

In the clouds at Mt Mitchel parking lot. About 6,300'.

Looking Glass Rock from the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Overall a good trip. I would highly recomend the Bear Den CG. It is at Blue Ridge Parkway mile post 325. The whole CG is very wooded and shady. They have everything from tent sites to rental cabins.

Hey Brad, you take some nice pictures yourself. Thanks for cooling me off some with the green trees and flowing water.
I thought down south there ya'll used Miracle Whip on those sandwiches and burgers.

They sell a lot of Miracle Whip down in these parts, but I have never liked the stuff. I tend to prefer Bama brand mayo over the others, but it is getting harder to find. It’s sweeter than most of the others like Kraft.
When I was working out in Salt Lake City a while back, I ate at a place call Crown Burger a lot. They had some stuff there that we don’t have back here; french fry sauce. It was kinda like mayo and ketchup mixed up. That was some good stuff; I could feel my arteries hardening up with every french fry!

Looks like you had a nice trip. I have only done part of the Parkway and hopefully, once I retire (boy, I sure say THAT a lot!!), I'll get back there and do the whole thing. In the meantime, your pics helped a lot.
Thanks for sharing.

Nice pic's Brad. Do you trim your dogs hair? Looks like he/she doesn't have the fluff-pants like my friend says of her Golden.
One of my burger sauce concoctions is three equal parts: Mayo(Helmans or Kraft), Sour cream or 2% plain yogurt( great substitute for sour cream), and salsa. We get a Newman's Own Mango. It's got some fruit in it. Really good. This stuff is good as a tortilla dip too.

Wow - nice to see some green stuff and water for a change. Looks like a good time.

Fry Sauce is probably not unique to Utah, but folks there look at you funny if you ask for ketchup. I love the stuff, and it loves me.
Thanks for the great trip report.
