In our 23ss, the back bunk doesn't get as much heat as the rest of the HTT. We run the bunk fan to help circulate and we've run a portable heater back there in the past, but has anyone added a duct to pump heat directly back there (or anywhere)?

I've never worked with something like this so any tips/ideas/pics would be great!

The furnace only has two outlets. You could extend the back one with some ductwork and put a grill in the far aft wall, but it'll use up a lot of space in the lower lockers.

I moved the interior bulkhead in that area several inches, though, to gain storage space so there may be more room than I remember. We haven't found the lower heat level to be a problem, though, on the other side of Lake Erie. Exists but is what it is.

Some extra heat in the bathroom is sometimes desired but getting the heat duct around to the other side of the trailer is too big a project for me to contemplate seriously.

You may not know but the two outlet plates spin allowing for some directional adjustment.
I have each outlet aimed towards each bed in our 21SSO.

Although we have not experienced any issue "complaints" i could see where the back bed would stay cooler given the smaller opening.

you can buy flexible dryer exhaust duct at home depot and lay it across the floor to the buck when you need it.
it folds up like a slinky for easy storage.

That's what I did with ours a couple years ago. The other way I've explored is tapping into the bathroom duct, putting in a T with a shut off and running that up the back and directly into the bunk. Same result, just waaaay more complicated... :-)

for those of us that don't have electric hookups available, not an option. only the furnace.

out in California, nearly none of the state parks have electric or water hookups. only private ones do and they tend to be the "parking lot" style of camping, since property is so expensive out here. that kind of camping is not for us.

Use the rear bunk for two consenting adults and "make your own" heat...

The temperature back there was 8 degrees cooler than the front bunk on our last trip. I have the vent pointed in the bunk's direction already, but I like the idea of running a removable one instead of eating valuable storage space.

If I were to tap into the duct, is it as simple as putting in a T and running the new duct to where I want it? Are the materials available at a HD or Lowes?
