Last week one of Wisconsin's famous sausage/bacon factory Patrick Cudahy caught fire and burned for several days. 10's of millions of dollars damage and 1,000's of workers now out of work.

Investigation of the fire showed it was caused by 2 men setting off fireworks in their backyard a few blocks down when they decided to end their display with a military issued flare.

Roof top cameras showed it hitting the factory roof. And I'm sure because of the magnatude of the damage they must have acquired the governments big brother satellites to see 'where' it came from. They traced it the house it came from and made arrests.

The REAL sad part is the flare is only military issued and one of the guys just got out of the army. Maybe now people will see the dangers of fireworks.

And the fire wasn't caused by fireworks. It was a military flare

"Government's big brother satellites"? Highly doubtful.

An article said dozens of tips phoned in led to the arrest.

Read about it here: Patrick Cudahay Fire

23 different fire departments were used to contain the blaze.

Yep, that's like reading an article about someone cutting their foot off with a chainsaw and concluding that circular saws are dangerous and should be banned. I've got a better idea, lets provide lower insurance rates for all factories (and all buildings for that matter)constructed with non-flammable roofs. I have an asbestos roof on my house. What is yours made out of?

Well at least I understand why those incessant asbestos ads are run by law firms now.

Why? How many building fires start on the roof? It is something freak like a military flare that caused a problem.

When you have to replace that roof I bet you won't be happy with the choice of shingles. I can tear my asphalt shingles off, throw them in a dumpster and send them to a landfill. Depending on the condition of yours it could be a really expensive proposition.
