Well, I guess it was 'our' discussion in the other thread that prompted you to start this thread. For those that didn't see what we were talking about.... I stopped at the Rutledge Lake RV park in Asheville, NC. Nice park (youtube film by 2Cyber71) and the lake-front spots are back-in's.
I, of course, backed-in but wondered why they designed it that way. We had a nice view of the Lake from our patio. It would not have been conducive for me to pull in forward as my patio would have been right on the patio of my neighbors. They had a lot going on with their picnic table, bicycles, kids, etc.
Last year, while in Cumming, GA, at the Twin Lakes RV park, the people on the Lake DID pull in forward. I also pulled in forward so my connections were at my front door. I was able to pull the electric cord and hose that far without extensions. I had to side step the electrical post when exiting the coach and also wondered why they put the electrical there and why they didn't move it to accommodate the guests who, obviously, wanted to view the lake from the their front windows! There were no sewers at the site, just a common dump station on the property.
MM.
You caught me!
Let's rethink this whole "I hope I die before I get old" thing.

We do it on a regular basis, but then we are with family. Just this past weekend we pulled in, had the father in-law pull in cross ways at the back of his space, and the Son in-law back in on the next site. We had three units and only took up three spaces and had a ball.
Before anyone bothers to post and ask, the FIL's Motorhome is a 1975 Winnebago Brave Class A and it is only 19 foot long. This is how he can park across his lot.
Your money, Your choice! Point the RV the way you want it. Do the people next to you ask if their awning lights left on all night;fires that only put out only smoke, pets that use YOUR site or loud noise music bother? Enjoy your site!!
Every campground that I have been in where the view was toward the rear has already been set up ans a "pull in" rather than "back in" situation. The utilities are at the front of the site. Not an issue with where I have been.
I can see where it would be a problem in campgrounds with narrow pads--you would certainly intrude on your neighbor a bit.

"My park, My rules" trumps your "your money, your choice" Reverse parking impedes the enjoyment of the site adjacent to you. No one wants their neighbors doors opening into their site. If your are in a site where there is no site next to you, fine. Otherwise, the sites are arranged for a reason.
