Sounds a bit like fuzzy math but what the hoot, I am just glad the company that didn't come crying for a bailout by already strapped taxpayers is climbing out of the hole. Ford has a solid lineup of vehicles from sports cars, family trucksters, to great pickups. And more great vehicles and engines soon to hit the market. Have you seen the new Taurus and the ecoboost engines? We own a variety of vehicles from different builders but my next car will probably be a Ford, the Fusion hybrid, for commuting duties.

Yeah, accounting rules can be funny. Just keep in mind every other publicly traded automaker uses the same math so their losses don't look as bad.

If I was in the market, Ford would be my first stop. I do like their products, and I like even more that I haven't bailed them out.

Uh, I have news for you... GM already died. They are only alive now because us nice taxpayers forked up the $$$ to resurrect them.

Ford is still alive pumping their own blood.

The Ford haters out there should really look at their latest products. They are building some really good cars now. The Fusion is competitive with Toyota and Honda and the new 2010 Taurus looks really nice.

Accountants can do things with numbers that engineers could never do.
