Peacock, When I was small and living on the farm, One day a peacock decided to start living on our roof. After a couple of weeks listening to the racket it made, my dad started calling the neighbors trying to find out who's it might be. About two days before Thanksgiving Dad had had enough and got the shotgun. It taste like turkey, not chicken. All white meat.

I've had kangaroo - quite a strong taste, but maybe it was the sauce. Didn't love it in any event.
Alligator, frog legs, they're pretty good. NO to bugs. We've been to China and they do serve them. Not for this lady, thank you very much Bison and elk are good too. Deer no unless it's in chili.
I'm not a brave eater either.

When I first met my last husband and he would invite people over for a BBQ, they ALWAYS asked what he was cooking.... .....If he said, "meat" they would decline the invite.....If he said Chicken, beef, or pork they always accepted....
I found out why!....."Meat" meant racoon, squirrel, oppossum, or any other "meat" that could not be bought at the grocery store!
I actually liked the racoon!

Oh gee, I forgot about Goat. When I lived for a while in NW OK their favorite to bbq was goat. I never could figure out why. Tough, stringy and not so tasty.
May we all have safe travels.

Of the stuff I know, it would be kangaroo. Now I have had some "interesting" dishes overseas that I declined to ask what exactly was in them.
Would Salmon pizza count as odd?

When I worked for Sunsweet Prune Dryers, the Hispanics/Mexicans would put a goat through the dryers with LOTS of lime and other spices....I tried it and liked it!

I'll have to take your word for that. Don't spect I'll ever eat goat again. I also saw the rocky mountain oysters being prepared before cooking, there are no words to describe what I saw. And they EAT those! Turns my stomach now just remembering.
