We are looking for a toy hauler. (2 quads -2 adult and 2 kids) A pull behind, a fifth wheel is not in the budget. We have a 2003 Duramax 2500HD. We have narrowed it down to two- the Northwood Desert Fox 24AS or Heartland Razor2650TT. They have many of the same features. Any opinions of these two manufactures or trailers? Is there something we should know about before we flip the coin?

TO THE RV.NET FORUM!
They are both independant Family owned RV companies, not huge conglomorates...and both put out a great product. We visited Heartlands Factory and alto we are huge Jayco fans, came away impressed by Heartlands quality and innovation. I really don't think you could go wrong with either, but I would be slightly swayed towards the Heartland.
In this case you might pick by the impressions of the local dealers that handle the brands, how is their customer service, are their customers happy with the warranty service, etc. Check the BBB ratings as well as local Chamber of Commerce. Good luck!
A Jayco is not just an RV, it's a way of life!

We have had the Desert Fox in my sig for 2 full seasons now and with @8-10k miles on it it has held up very well. I have an earlier post praising Northwood for standing behind there product and their excellent customer service. I take our rig offroad regularly and our family lived in it for two weeks on vacation in Yellowstone. If you have any ???? fell free to PM me. We ordered ours from the factory with colors and amenities that we wanted.

We picked up our 28KS used not too long ago, and for being an 05, it's in great shape. Everything still works, fit and finish is still good, and it seems to be wearing well.

I like my Desert Fox 24AS but depending on the size of your quads you may have a hard time getting two in. The 28 foot and 21 foot I think have more room. The 24AS has less room due to the front queen.

If Dessert Fox has a floor-plan that will work for you, I'd highly recommend going with them. Their build quality cannot be beat, and neither can their post-sale customer service.

+8 for Desert Fox
Take a good look at the Desert Fox 28KS, with 2 queen beds in the back section, get one size larger than you think you need, the extra room is priceless.
