I was thinking about purchasing a 2003 28' Topaz the weight on it says 9960 lbs. Would I be able to pull this with my 2003 F150. Not sure what other info you would need, so let me know. Thanks.

I would not. The 9960 lbs is more than likely "dry" weight, loaded ready to camp you will probably be pushing 11500-12000 pounds. That would be VERY heavy for a half ton truck.

On edit- I looked up the tow rating for 2003 F150's. The highest tow rating for any configuration is 8800 lbs.

Loaded pin weight will also be important for you to know, as well as the payload rating and GAWR (gross axle weight ratings) for your truck.

I agree, probably way too much for that light a truck.

Is the 9960# the empty weight or the GVWR?
Any idea what the fiver's pin weight is?
What's the payload of your F-150? Maximum tow rating?
Need information!

That is the weight of mine dry and have a 3/4 ton duramax and would not even think about using a 1/2 ton. unless you live in flat west texas and your trips are short and you beef up your trucks suspension may consider for a short time. I will probably go 1 ton on my next truck.

There are some lighter fivers that your truck will handle.

I am afraid your truck is way too undersized for the task you describe. I wouldn't try it either. Installing a fifthwheel hitch in that truck would be a waste of money, if you expect to pull that trailer.

If you must use that truck, go for a smaller/lighter 5'r, or a TT with much less pin weight. JMHO

F150 with the HD payload package could carry and pull that one.
OEM seven lug steel wheels will indicate the proper equipment.
