Thanks eneryone, gonna go on a hunt. Triker33, the directions for the TV said " Devices with HDMI or DVI" I don't have those connections on my receiver, It has another choice for divices with YPbPr and I don't have that either, but the third choice siad Divices with a S-Video or Video,I do have an S-video connection and the red white and yellow connections. Would it help to purchase the S Video cable?
With S-Video you need the Red/White for audio, S-Video is "Seperated" video and what they do is seperate the chroma and Luma portions of the video (Chroma is what color is it, and Luma is how bright is it)
Now.. Back in my Commodore 64 days, you got a much sharper picture if you did it this way. (the Commodore 64 and Atari-800 were two of the first S-Video devices)
So yes, S-Video will give you better picture.
Now. the quesiton is: Will the improvement be enough for you to notice?
Nothin adds excitment like something that is none of your business
Kenwood TS-2000 housed in a 2005 Damon Intruder 377
Just so you folks know the outcome.. He replaced the cable from the receiver to the television,,,,, Sharp and clear
I should add... In my Damon, the Coax used is of such great quality that when I had Dish Network and put the bedroom on the 2nd output (UHF) I got snow and sparkelies on the screen... Channel 3 (Main output) was clear, but at UHF the coax they used is el-...junk-o
