Has anyone been succesful in getting Dometic to fix the actual root cause? Most people think that the SBH Kit fixes their problem but it is ONLY a band-aid fix. Dometic should be required by law to replace the entire cooling unit due to the Fatigue crack in the Boiler tube. All the SBH kit does is keep any fire from spreading. IT DOES NOT fix the bolier tube. SO here I am the recall was done on my unit and 1 month after the recall repair guess what... I got a fatigue crack in my boiler tube which leaked out all of the cooling fluid. Talked with Dometic and they said tough luck the recall fix was done. I say BS the root cause was not fixed.

I agree with you but looks like that is all they intend to do about it. And the consumer gets f????? again.

The only way to get them to deal with the problem would be if someone filed a class action lawsuit. I imagine there are enough folks out there that have had the same experience as you.

They actually replaced my cooling unit a year ago. The "kit" had been installed earlier then the boiler cracked.

It was almost 3 months out of warranty but they stood behind it anyway.
