Hello, just to let you know i did do a search but could not find what i was looking for. Basically what is the proper shut down procedure when you get your rig level ? Also, how long is that beep suppose to last ? I was having trouble last weekend when i thought it was level i pulled the key out and hit off then the beep was still sounding. Need to figure this out, it's bugging me. I believe the jack model is a HWC ? It's in a 01 Tiffin Allegro. Thanks.

The HWH Jack system will work in both ACC and Ignition mode IF wired correctly. Some OEM's wired the Jack pad to the Ignition only, which means when you operate and level, the jack down alarm will sound during the level process. If correctly wired to the ACC side, you turn the key to ACC and when leveling, the jack down alarm will not sound while leveling. You operate and level, then shut OFF the ignition key. IF the jack pad stays ON after removing the ignition key, then there is a wiring problem. The beep will only last as long as the key is in the ignition side and the jacks are down. Doug

Suggest you go on the HWH website and download the manuals and instructions for your specific application. They can come in handy both for troubleshooting a problem and just plain general system information. Can't help you with your "beep" problem though. The only time I experienced an annoying beep was one time a jack solenoid failed and the jack would not fully retract.

I was told my service guy -- that you do not turn off the jacks.
Set brake, level with ignition on -- then I turn off the ignition and the beeping stops. When I retract the jacks -- I hit the store button when all the lights indicate the jacks are stored -- I do not turn off the jacks because they said it would send a false signal to the sensor and you get the beeping because of the hydraulics.
Hope this helps.

Your key should be in the ACC position unless OTHERWISE indicated in your owner's manual. The beep is from the key being in the iginition position and is there so you don't drive away with the jacks down. If Tiffin wired it so that it will only work with the key in the ignition position then you will have to put up with the noise while leveling. On ours, it has to be in the ACC position to level so that we can dump air and then extend the jacks.

Thanks Barb and Jrtgirls. I was trying to do it with it running because i had trouble getting key turned back to ACC. When I went back to the dealer for them to show me how to run the system again, he showed me with the key in and it running, think he was in a rush to more on to his next project. I am going to move my Rv to storage tonight for the week and i am going to stop at a large parking lot and practice using the leveling jacks along with backing up. Thanks again, will keep you posted.
