We have an 02 Carson Titan (Fun Runner). It has the ramps assist on the inside, like a big coiled garage spring and a rod that the cable wraps around. Well, parts inside of that shattered. The MFR of the assist unit has been less than helpful in getting parts.

How about this?

I have a cargo trailer/car hauler, as well as my TH. I use my cargo trailer to haul my Jeep or hot rod.

It uses a cable/pulley attached to a rotating tensioned spring. The spring and pulley are mounted to the ceiling. I'm looking to see if I have a pic of it somewhere.

It's tensioned to the point where it takes almost no effort to open or close, and the door itself is much heavier than on my TH, as it's rated for cars.

Wouldn't you have to be inside the trailer to operate that, or are you going to put a plug on the outside to plug the remote into?

Either way, 10.5' per minute @ 550lbs might be too slow for you...

I have that same winch attached to my lift in my garage and it works flawless when I "winch" disabled cars onto the lift. Search the web and find 20% coupons for one item for HF, to even save more...
