Hi! I have a HP pavillion with vista. When I try to watch posted videos I get a stop-action play. The video will run for a few seconds & then stop for a few seconds before resuming. What do I need to do to get an uninterrupted play? Please explain in simple terms Thanks, Jacqui

Sounds like buffering - stopping to catch up with the download rate. If you let it download for awhile before starting to watch, you may never catch up with the download.

Another way to say it. Your internet connection is not fast enough. The play has to stop while more of the video is downloaded. Select 'pause' to stop the play while more downloads. It has nothing to do with the laptop or the operating system.

yeb, its sounds like your internet connection speed, hit the pause button and wait for the buffer to fill up, then play the video un-interrupted.

it a very common thing.

I hope this is youtube and NOT netflix or 'streaming TV' shows, because you will EAT your 5 gig data limit with as little as 4 or 5 movies

Thanks for the explanation. I use an air card, hence my problem. I really appreciate you all taking the time to answer! Jacqui
