We just cut a section of pool noodle and stuff it over the gutter extension/spout before putting the cover on. We also slip or zip-tie pool noodles over other areas around the camper that we feel might also puncture or abrade through the cover during storage.

So... your not done camping for the season, are you???

I guess I don't know what the problem is. We put our cover on the RV like always and it does not disturb the gutter extensions that we bought from Camping World.
Or is there another issue?

They pop right off so just take them off before putting on the cover.

I take them off for the winter but don't bother when I cover it during the summer (we're spring and fall campers). That said, you can still expect to get a few holes in the cover unless it's parked in a well sheltered area.
