Sorry to post this again, but we had our tentage coming loose on the front bunkend not long ago. We moved the tenting back into the grove, and attempted to pound the connection tight again, and squeeze tight with pliers... but no luck. We went out to the coast this weekend, and after being out for a few hours we returned to find about a 6" gap where the tentage had come loose again
I'll call Starcraft on Tuesday... but wondering what else we can try or if anyone else has had this happen. DH is considering drilling a hole in the frame and using a screw to tighten the tenting against the frame...
Thoughts?

We too have just experiened this problem in a our Starcraft. Just this past weekend, upon awakening I looked in upper right corner, noticed the welt had pulled out of the channel. I took down the center pole to loosen the canvas, reinserted the welt into the channel and tried to recrimp the the channel at the same places that the factory had orginally crimped it. It didnt pull back out, but we went home that day and it was still holding when we closed up tent ends. The only difference here is the tent end on our HTT was removed at one time for some warranty work and may not have been reinstalled correctly. I too hope that someone out there in forum land will have a better fix.

Both of our Starcrafts came with Corner supports to keep the tents from pulling out.
Is yours lacking the corners?
I also see several tech screws in the lower portion of the framing for additional support.
You can also adjust the sheppard poles to keep from stretching the tent ends so tight if this is even an issue.

Take it to the nearest Star Craft dealer and have them fix it. I had the same problem on my front bunk, I tried to fix it myself with no luck. I took it to the dealer and in 15 minutes and $10, I left with it fixed and fixed right. It is amazing how easy it is when you have the right tools, and know what you are doing.

Bummer... the nearest dealer is 3.5 hrs away. Though if I make some lemonade from those lemons its a good trip to plan
Thanks for the tips!
(No corners on ours, maybe we can jury-rig something until we take that trip south.)

Have the same problem on mine. I tuck them back in when I see them popping out and they last for a few trips and then start popping back out again. At least I don't have any leaks!

I had the same problem but used long handle channel lock pliers and it gave me enough leverage to get a good crimp that stayed tight.

How tight do you have your Sheppard's pole set. Could that be what is causing it to pull out?

We have it set at 2 or 3 in. We loosened it a notch or two when the tenting first came loose, which now leaves it a little floppier in the tentage than I would like. It may have been the initial cause of it coming loose, but now its really just a matter of crimping it in there securely again.

I also used some large channel locks and was able to crimp mine back in place. They have now held for 3 years.
