Sorry to hear about you giving up your camper. We had serious financial problems for the last year and the only item we would not and could not sell was the MH. We are upside down on it and even though it was not a good thing we were not going to lose more money on a sale that would also break our hearts. We were able to find ways to make things work out and are slowly digging our way out. We have a long way to go but we are starting to climb the ladder. Our daughter starts college this year and is an excellent track runner. You can bet we will be using our MH at most of her meets this year. We have been using the MH for business, visiting our children in college, track meets, dance recitals etc. It really saves us money in the long run - with food and lodging. It is part of the family and hopefully here for the long haul.

Good Luck

Travelnutz, Thanks for the suggestions. I think an older camper might be in the future for us.

Watch Craig's List. There's usually some good buys if you watch what you're buying. I don't know where you are in Indiana, but in the Ft. Wayne area I've seen lots around at really good prices..especially pop ups and older TT's. There are some really nice older TT's out there that were well maintained and just need a bit of spiffing up/updating.

Hate to see anyone give up what they love...we are asked to give up so much already....gets frustrating that's for sure.

Timing has a lot to do with the outcome of a rain dance.

Wickerbill,
We are in Northern IN. I would be willing to travel a bit to get a great deal. sounds like a cash sale on an older model would be in our future. Maybe next year.

My wife's big fear is if things ever got tough, I would sell the house and keep the motorhome.

My advice will differ from most of what you have seen. Get rid of it yesterday. You have a personal emergency. During emergencies you must have a plan and the plan cannot include luxury items, and an RV is a luxury item. Food, lodging, transportation, utilities and health are your priorities. Anything that does not make that list needs to go away. It is not a permanent situation you are in, and it is not a permanent change in your lifestyle. You can buy another RV when you get things going again.
