I am wondering if anyone else has experienced the problems we are currently having. Our 2008 Carriage Cameo had issues with the kitchen slide-out from a few months after purchase. When fully extended it sat at an angle, and never fully sealed. After nearly two years of back and forth to the dealer we have finally discovered that the incorrect brackets were installed on the slide-out at the factory. replacement brackets have now been installed, however we are experiencing a myriad of side problems.
Primary of these is that the fridge in the slide-out is bending - you can see where it is popping out from the plastic around it! Our technician at the dealership tells us that this is due to months of extreme pressure caused by the slide-out not being seated properly. The fcatory tells us not to worry, it will straighten back out now that the pressure has been taken off.
Our concern is - to make a Norcold fridge bend, our RV must have been subjected to an immense amount of pressure. And we find it hard to believe that there is no permanant damge, to the fridge or to other areas of the RV. We hate to accept the fix then have continual problems appearing that are not covered under warranty.
Does anyone else have any experience of an RV where this occurred? Any experts who can estimate the amount of strain that being operated for two years with incorrect brackets would put on an RV?
We are fulltimers, and lived in the RV during those two years, so the slide-out was fully extended 99% of the time.
Thanks!

P.s. I am posting the full-list of warranty issues we have that we think maybe connected to the slide-out issue below. Comments are welcome! THANKS!
Electric issues; the kitchen slide has been shorting and not working. When this occurs current dips when slide-out switch is pressed. Lights have blown in the main area due to this. The last time this occurred the dining slide out also would not come-in, and when Thomas was under the RV working on finding the problem, the kitchen slide started coming in on its own with no-one close to the switches.
Light outside main door shorted and melted.
Bumps in the floor approximately a foot from the edge of the counter-top; the floor has a wave in it, it is hard to see but can clearly be felt in bare feet. This was corrected in 2007 shortly after we discovered the slide-out problem, however it has re-occurred and is worsening over time.
Cracks in cabinet above fridge.
Fridge not sealing properly.
Fridge 'bowing' exposing foam insulation.
Fridge noise; a noise similar to a regular fridge can be heard cycling on and off.
Main door to outside 'bowing' where light can be seen. This is widest around the latch, tapering off to the top and bottom.
Caulk is cracking throughout the interior.
Screws are backing out and caulk cracking in the exterior nose area.
From what I read here, Carriage will be behind you.
Probably about 1000 miles behind you.
I really do hope they take care of you though.
Carriage was once on my top three brands to consider list. Yep almost bought a 376 in 2004. Wouldn't have one now.
States I have spent the night in my current rig, bought three years ago.
Have RV'ed through 49 states and been in all 50, just short of my half-century.
Sorry to hear of all of the problems. This is not typical in a Carriage but it also sounds like your dealer isn't too good. You do have the right to ask Carriage to recommend another dealer for you to get it repaired at or you could schedule a return to the factory for repairs.
With something like a slide like you experienced, it was pretty obvious that your dealer did you no good. Talk to Carriage and see if you can arrange a repair visit to Indiana.

On the contrary, our dealer, ExploreUSA in Kyle, Texas, has been behind us every step of the way. We have been working on this for two years with them, and they have been telling Carriage they can't fix it and it needs to be returned to the factory. It has been Carriage who are in denial and have insisted that the dealer work on it again and again.
However, the good news is that the owner of ExploreUSA drove up from San Antonio with his most experienced tech and the two of them looked at the problems with our RV. Then he personally called the owner of Carriage, and now Carriage has agreed to take it into the factory for evaluation. Hooray!
All I have to say is good luck getting this resolved with Carriage. My experience with them is after the 2 year warranty is up, you are on your own, even if they created the problem.
