We are looking at the Discovery 40G floorplan with the bunk beds. We don't have any in town to look at anymore and am wondering how many seat belts there are. We have four children and would like to belt them in, but it looks like there are only 3 spots designated on the floorplan.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

We have an 05 Discovery, 39J model.
Ours has the two facing couch's in the living area.
The one behind the driver has 3 seatbelts. We do not but have seen others that they have installed additional seatbelts on the opposite couch. Don't know why you couldn't do that also.

I am sure that you will really like the coach.

Good luck, Larry

After reviewing your plan on line, I agree with only one belt in the dinette and two on sofa. You should be able to install one more in dinette. We did in our dinette on our excursion.

I would check with Fleetwood as I don't think you can really rely on the online floorplan. From memory it seems that the manufacturers usually include at least as many seat belts as the sleeping capacity (might even be a law).

This is not always the case as sometimes they limited seat belt and person capacity to keep their weight capacities higher. Silly but true in the past with at least one company.

I called Fleetwood today and they couldn't tell me right away on the phone about the number of seatbelts. They did call back only a few hours later and relayed the information that there are only 3 seatbelt locations in that floorplan. It seems odd to me that the floorplan with bunks would have the least number of seatbealts. It must be the curved dinette that can't handle the seatbelts.

Thanks for your replies.
