Some of the seals on Our dual Pane windows 12 year old Coach have shrunken inwards! The Coach has obviously seen some heat to cause this to happen.
I would like to know if these can be repaired or just replaced. They aren't horrible just annoying.
Yes, the window can be repaired by replacing the double-pane insert. Not hard, but somewhat time consuming.
We've had one of our window insert seals fail, allowed moisture between the pains. And another one was unsightly when the insert seal began to migrate towards the center of the pane -- never did loose its seal.
You may have some difficulty getting soemone to build the double-pane inserts to your measurements, that was our biggest issue. After that, it's only a matter of removing the entire window unit, replacing the glass insert in a very tight rubber grommet, then re-assembling the window unit back into the rv.
FYI, when we inquired at the dealer, they insisted the only fix was to replace the entire window at a cost of >$1,200.
Good luck and feel free to PM if you have questions.
