I have a chance to purchase an older Tioga, 27 ft, with a ford 460, what kind of fuel economy can I expect to get wit this?

After changing fuel filters and a lot of Sea Foam we actually gained power and better mileage and are up to 8 MPH on the last trip with our 454.

Does it have fuel injection or carb?

My advice woulod be to drive it first and be more concerned about the handling.
Every older Tioga I drove had so much play in the front end you'd need two lanes to drive it in!

We need to hear what 'older' means first. The front coil spring E350 chassis was much improved over the 'twin I-beam front suspension'of 1991 and older.

I've had mine since it was new. 8 mpg even if you are towing 4 down.

My carb'ed 460 (1983) makes 8 on the flatlands, considerably less in the mountains towing my jeep. Back to 8 again after rebuilding the carb.

I'm getting 10MPG. Lots of cruise control needed for that.

Loosness in the steering is a chassis issue, not the fault of housebox installeer. Our 72 Dodge Maxi Van Family Wagon conversion wandered aimlessly despite adjustments and other upgrades.
