Gas, diesel???? You need to give more info.

I have a Click on my diesel. Gave me a ton of power but NO lose in mpg, so I like it.

YES, it will void the warranty, reading the owners manual will tell you this. With that said I chipped mine at 29k and now have 130k with no ill effects. Of course it all depends on how you drive. Me, I drive like a little ole lady, hot rod it(tempting with added power) and it may not last long. Made my ford 250 diesel a REAL towing machine. Of course I have added a few other goodies to help keep me safe. I would also suggest you have him go to Click and do some reading.

It will void the warranty on items it affects. It will not void the warranty on the windshield wiper motor as an example but would certainly void the warranty on driveline components.

Non towing milage should increase with more milage.

What is he towing that he needs more power??? Isn't the 6.4 a beast as it is????

Again, check out the sites listed above. Calling dpTuner and talking directly with Jody Tipton(owner and/or wife) will get you some quick answers.

WARNING, WARNING, DANGER IT WILL VOID WARRANTY
And dealer will know that it was installed even if it is removed before going to dealer....will leave a trace.....dealer will use this as excuse for anything that goes wrong "Sorry, not covered....warranty voided due to aftermarket programmer"
It's a brand new truck.....wait until warranty expires before chipping. Then get out check book....tranny upgrade, driveline upgrade, fuel pump upgrade, injector upgrade.....power can become addictive. UNLESS: driven conservatively, then programmer really isn't needed.

Ford reprogrammed their computers to leave evidence of any chip installed on the PSD. This is a known fact and yes, it will void the warranty, according to Fords warranty manual.

I have a "bully dog" grille and nerf bars. Neither one voided my warranty. It is very LIKELY that any performance mods WILL void your engine warranty.

Not for me! I have the 6.0L which is EXTREMELY picky regarding most chips and it will blow up with the wrong one. Bully Dog is notorious on the DS and FTE boards. The older 7.3L was a different story. I bet a big chunk of all the millions Ford paid out in warranty money on the 6.0 was for chipped engines. The computer module software will catch it now and has for sometime. I don't have any info on the 6.4, but I would expect the same. It's still a Navistar engine, but your call of course. Someone may know different.

Personally, I have no need for more power in my 6.7 Cummins, but you might in your Ford, but from what all I've read, it will leave a "footprint"in your computer. That being the case have him what do what he will do as some people just won't listen to advice of any sort. JMHO
