I didn't know I should be concerned. It's a non-issue for us. We've been over it numerous times. If it gets a bit gusty, we just slow down a bit.

Ditto. Also have a B.

You'll probably go over the bridge and comment that you thought it was going to be longer. That's what happened to me the first time.

Want to know about flying under it? Well, maybe not.

You didn't mention when you were planning to make the trip. The bridge per se is no problem to drive across, but if you are going to make the trip on Labor day, be warned that part of the bridge is closed due to the walkers on the bridge. The event attracts lots of people (and, yes, it is a fun experience) and thus a lot of extra vehicular traffic.

A number of years ago we were making a crossing in a class A. I was in the middle lane, trying to get around a fellow pulling a trailer. He had is left wheels on the line and was driving about 20 mph. As I eased past him I could see the white knuckles, And he was staring straight ahead. The poor man never got to enjoy the trip at all and I am sure he returned a different way. There are a lot of places in this country I would not recommend taking a large RV, but I can't think of many for a B.

We've done it twice in our Aspect towing a Jeep. It didn't seem too much different from going across the Chesapeak Bay Bridge to OC if you've done that.

Just as everyone else has mentioned… it’s a very easy drive. Not to worry, enjoy your trip.

Maybe an optical illusion, but it doesn't seem to be any worse than the Potomac river bridge on US301 between Virginia and Maryland, only longer. And the US301 Potomac River bridge is only 2 lanes, and does have grate decking at the top.

But it's all good when I'm driving and crossing a bridge. I just close my eyes.

When we drove over we should have found a turn around and traded drivers to drive over it again!

It was a fantastic view. No problem. Great area! Relax and enjoy!

Depending on how strong the winds are the Bridge Authority will either close the bridge down to all high=profiel vehicles OR limit you to no more than 20 MPH...

We crossed with a 39' 5er (13'2" high) with 35 MPH winds and were limited to 20 MPH and strictly in the right hand lane...

As others have said avoid the bridge on Labor Day due to the annual Labor Day Walk (too much traffic and 2 lanes of the bridge are closed)...otherwise enjoy the view and bring your camera!

I guess I'm going to be the only one to say "it is really scary!".
DH and I have crossed the bridge several times in our B, in our pickup truck, and in my Honda Civic.
He has no problem with it. I, however, am always very nervous. The B is no worse than any other vehicle going over the bridge. I drove my Civic over it once, I will never do it again. DH always has to drive over the bridge.
I close my eyes, grit my teeth and pray.
But then, I am probably a poor judge, because I am afraid of water, and I don't like any bridge. Even the Silver Bridge over the Ohio River scares me (but I can drive over that one!)
As someone above mentioned-you can get someone to drive your vehicle across for you.
The U.P. is worth it, though. Once you get across the bridge, you are in God's Country! and you don't have to cross the bridge again if you decide never to go home, lol.
