Wrong way to moderate. Deal with the people that can't follow the rules and leave the rest of us to enjoy the forum. It will save you work in the long run.

I'll give you all a reason since I'm the one that closed it.......since the thread opened I had 3 seperate "notifies" complaining about the language and over use of some particular words.......one notify I might not do anything.........but more than that..........I take a closer look at the thread........

In this case I decided it wasn't going anywhere but down the drain

And like was already said........sometimes it's easier to close it than have to babysit it........

Gotta love those "notifies". Do they want to be mods?

Amen! Don't forget to bow!
I don't believe that Eric is on a power trip. He will never require you to bow either. Bark maybe, but never bow.

Very well, thanx for the reason. Maybe it's some members that need to lighten up.

Hot tip! One of the first things you learn here is not that there is a moderator problem but that there is an enormous problem with a few "I'm just so offended!" types.

The Mods have a tough job and it sure don't pay enough. One thing that will get banned every time is to mention the words gun or PETA.I've had a couple of post deleted but thats OK with me.It takes alot too offend me.

The Mods have a tough, thankless job. I've been deleted after posting what I thought a benign response to some posts that were pushing the rules. I try to keep the topic positive but I'm not as well known as some who post pushing the rules. I understand the mod doesn't understand my intent. I also am frequently misunderstood in real life anyway when I speak, I'm more of a listener by nature. Never meaning no harm. Thanks for a good clean place to come to discuss & exchange knowledge & ideas.

I'll make a categorical statement here--any reader on this forum that runs to the moderators in an attempt to pull down a post or a thread when they have the option of simply ignoring both is absolutely wrong. Simple as that.

To be correct it should be "sided knowledge and sided ideas"
This is commercial forum and its purpose is to promote some business while bash other.
Sure you will not find that info in the forum rules but it doesn't take that much to figure it out.

One tool I've suggested over on ATC is the ability to hide threads from specific users.

Once they become a pain for a specific thread, then they no longer get to even see it.
