Any suggestions as to rv parks on the Redwood Highway north of Crescent City? We will be traveling south for Thanksgiving ending up in Westport CA but need a place for one night on the way.

Just stayed at Honeybear, North of Gold Beach about 7 miles. Easy on and off of 101. Older park but well kept. Elk were in the meadow below each night. Good Sams discount and prices were reasonable. They serve dinner some nights. Wi-Fi is good as well as Verizon phone and Sprint air card. Several pull throughs. South to Ureka is a KOA off 101. Just a quick left turn and you are there. Slow wi-fi, KOA rates discounted if you have the card. Phones work well. Many resturants just a mile or two away. Very easy in and out.

Look for the MH in our signature if you are staying in Wages Creek/Westport on the beach during Thanksgiving. We should be there the week of the 23rd.

Hwy 101 is very very rough in places so be careful. If you see a sign that says "bump", too late.

We stop at Harris Beach State Park in Brookings, Or. We love this park and it's right off Hwy 101.

If you are on the Oregon Coast then indeed Harris Beach in Brookings is great. If you are coming down from Grants Pass on 199 then Jedediah Smith State Park can't be beat.

I live just off 199 in Cave Junction. If you are traveling So. there are several along the hiway. There is one just south of town and another in O'Brian. Once you get to CA there are several just off the hiway. Have a nice trip.
