Tim - Really enjoyed looking at your pics. Loved the little girl's newspaper hats. We were in another City at a Festival and the school children were making and selling them for a fundraiser for their band.

I sure hope the Red Tide has moved on. Was on the Florida Beach once and didn't have any idea that the debris causes so many problems breathing etc. until I got home and wondered why I had an annoying cough.

Looking forward to seeing everyone in the valley soon.

OK - Here is what I know about Red Tide:
Ride tide is an Algae Bloom. When it happens to be the right concentration of the right kind of Algae it can cause a burning to the eyes and a nagging cough that you can only wonder where it came from. Someone came up to me and said, hmmm... The red tide is really bothering you.
It makes your pets uncomfortable too, but the good news is.. you hardly fell its effects indoors, (they have air conditioning at Club Pelican West) Bad news is of course, you can't stay in the bar forever.
They tell me it lasts about a week but not more than 3 weeks and they can't be sure when it will go away.
I don't like it but we can only hope it isn't as bad this Sunday as it was last week because we will be at Club Pelican West again from 7 - 11 pm on Sunday.

Neighbors took their rig to SPI for the Sand Castle days. They said the red tide was so bad that they couldn't get out to see the Sand castles. Too bad.

The Monarch butterflies are migrating. Each afternoon we can see thousands of them flutter over. It looks like something out of a Disney movie. Here is a link with info on the migration. http://www.learner.org/jnorth/monarch/fall2009/Update102209.html
Rv'ers arriving at the park this week said they had butterflies plastered all over the front of their rigs.

Went to Don Wes Wednesday. Not many vendors open yet but a great time to shop for t-shirts. No crowds and you never know who you will run into there. Hi Becky. It was good to see you again.

Hi Karen, it was good to see you and Paul and Don and Mary on Wednesday.
Guess SPI is out at least until this Red Tide clears up. Thanks for the heads up

The new Golden Corral in McAllen was busy. You wouldn't believe the crowds. But the food was very good for a Golden Corral. Try the ribs, they were wonderful.

Thanks for making the clicky, Shirley.

Becky, thanks for the update on the Golden Corral. We drove by there tonight. The parking lot looked like a car dealership it was so packed and lit up. It's going to be hard to get in there. Did you have to wait to be seated very long?

We saw quite a few today near Victoria Texas and unfortunately several are decorating the grill of our truck.
