Recently in 2 downpours on a 06 W22 Workhorse Allegro Bay something is getting wet and shorting out the wiper control. They wont shut off or go to the intermitant speeds, only low and high until it seems to dry out then OK again. Have put electical tape on the connection hanging down to the motor but havn't gone through a heavy rain again to see if it helps.
Anyone else experience this? Thanks for any help.

Many (includin us) have had the same experience. Drying out the wiper motor connector will cure. Also suggest putting connector "upside" down and up out of the way of the water/rain so water can run out. I also potted the connection with electrical putty. In 4 years the problem had not reappeared.

you are not alone on this issue. I brought mine in for the same thing while it was under warranty and they said they fixed it. Well 2 wks ago I got caught in some heavy rain and guess what, when the rain stopped the wipers wouldn't. I went to the dealer after work (mh was at home) and I thought they were covered under the Workhorse warranty , which I still have 18 months left, but they told me the motor is a Tiffin item so covered for only 1 yr. They are talking to Red Bay about this as we speak. But mine also don't park at the bottom like there supposed to. They tell me the issue with not stopping is the plug that connects to the motor gets wet. Well the last time when I pulled over to unplug the plug it was dry, so Iguess I'll have to wait to here from the dealer. Just to let know we are not alone with this problem.

Yep this is the answer. Seal the pigtail connection from the motor problem solved.

I had this problem and took my mh to a rv repair shop and I had a control circuit panel replaced, It cost $140.00 to fix. Mechanic told me it could happen again if I didn't seal the connection between the male/female plug.

I covered mine with silicone grease and put kitchen plastic wrap around it all.

Not sure as Workhorse took care of it under warranty but if you want I will be happy to call them and ask.
