You might run into problems on secondary roads or in towns but not main hwys or interstates. We bought a trucker's Atlas so we could stick to the routes they use just to be safe.

Like stated above not on the big roads but yes on some side streets or in older campgrounds you still have some low trees. Just have to be aware of whats ahead and move over when possible to avoid hanging limbs. On old back roads you could run into those low train or car underpass. If going on back roads of america be cautious and I think there is a book out there that gives info like this and maybe someone will chime in on it.
good luck out there.

I have never had any problem with my Montana or any of my other RV's with height issues. I though around 12'6 to 12'8 was the norm for these.

Our 5er is 12' 10" since we added the 2nd A/C, some service stations look a little low so I avoid those. Other than that never had a problem but I do keep an eye out on back roads for low branches.

That advertised height is at the sides of the tunnels. At 13.1", we have been through all of the tunnels on the Blueridge. The 3 in question have a center height over 18'. The only one I questioned was Bunches Bald advertised at 10' 6" on the sides. But after looking, we went through. We just used care and rode the center line.

We find the most problems in state parks and some municipality's. Some cities including our home town refuse to cut the canopies on secondary roads. We have 4 routs for leaving our house and getting on an interstate. 2 of those routes are blocked by trees under 11'

We are are at 13ft 2in.. If we are heading to someplace new we will post our route to see if anyone knows any low bridges or anything else. We've been thru some 13ft 6in tunnels...
We remeasured our high spot on the 5'er by hooking up as normal and putting a 2x4 with a level on it at the highest spot on the 5'er, then dropping a tape measure from the 2x4 to get out height.
We also have only one route out of our developement due to height and trees.

Our new Cedar Creek height is 12' 11" and we've not encountered any issues along the highways we traveled, but we do have to be on the look out for low hanging branches in campgrounds. The DH backs into the site and I am on the walkie talkie looking out for any objects that might get in the way of the 5er.

A friend of the DH's has a 5er that was 12' 9" and he recently pulled into a gas station and didn't realize the gas stations canopy was only 12'. It did a lot of damage to the 5er and to the canopy too. It pushed the AC right through the roof into the interior space of the 5er
