I have been trying to find where to buy the peice of heavy duty foam that goes in between the handle and the latch to prevent the metal on metal rubbing. It has sticky on one side to keep it stuck to the handle. Any idea where I can purchase some of this? I have tried HD and Lowes and neither one have anything that heavy duty/dense.
Thanks in Advance

I couldn't find it either. I ended up using those felt adhesive pads from Lowes for now, but they clearly aren't going to hold up like the foam rubber would.

I had ski boots custom fit to me at a ski shop and they used super dense, 1/8" stick on foam to help adjust them. Perhaps living in Denver you could check into that.

No none knows where to find this piece of rubber? All these hybrids and no one has ever had to change it out?
I even called the dealer that I pruchased my HTT from and they acted like they had no clue what I was talking about they wanted me to take a picture of it and send it to them.

Not sure this applies, but its pretty close.
I lost the pad on one of the latches on my Kodiak, but it was more like a hard plastic rather than a dense foam. I went through the same thing as I was looking for a replacement. My wife finally wondered what I was up to and took a look at it. She then when to the cupboard and pulled out a well used plastic cutting board and handed it to me. I cut out a square the appropriate size and used some silicone gasket maker and attached it to the latch. I used the pressure of holding the bunk closed to hold the new block in place until the silicone cured. Works like a charm so far.

Try contacting Fastech Industrial (1-800-837-2505). They are a supplier of the latches. They should have the rubber pads that you are looking for.

I asked this question awhile back - here's the thread. I never actually replaced mine, though... They are still pretty flat.
