When we bought our Cub, one latch on both ends had the rubber coating coming off the handle. I wanted it replaced before we'd buy the unit. When they did, the new ones had the black rubber foam, instead of the hard white plastic. That made one side close much tighter than the other. CW was able to dig up the old ones, which were fine except for the rubber coating. We had them take the hard white plastic off and attach it to the new latches. I like the hard white ones better.
