Has anyone ever stayed overnight at the Walmart in Middletown, New York?
May be in the area in about a week and was wondering about an overnight stop.

Thanks in Advance

Haven't been there but Walmart policy is that you are allowed to stay.
Ask the manager first if there are any city ordinances against it and be sure to park on the fringe of the lot. When I go to see the manager I usually have a cart with merchandise with me.

The Middletown, NY Super Walmart is listed as a no overnight parking location at the Yahoo! Walmart RVing Group.

It would make me nervous to park a motorhome over night there.
That is the only Walmart I have shopped at, that I would say that about.
Maybe I got the wrong impression the few times we shopped there.
I never felt that way at other Wallmarts.
My sister lives in Slate Hill and she doesn't like to shop there.
We mentioned shopping at Walmart at home and on the road. She never understood why we would shop at one, until she visited us in Florida and seen what most of them are really like.

Hi rambler, We lived in South Centerville or 17 years,so when we go there to visit we stay at korn's campground ,it's just outside of middletown,it's not a bad campground, not fancy but clean and quiet, very nice people, they have relatives that live in Slate Hill. There in the Woodalls book.Hope you have a nice visit.

If I remember right, that WalMart would be tough to get into and out. My wife is from that area (Jeff) and we have been there several times. I also remember it being a sleazy kind of crowd.

A couple of years ago we stayed there. Met some friends and ate at the same shopping center. 3 of us asked permission and it was granted by Walmart. Next morning city cop came by and gave us holy hell. Said the parking lot did not belong to Walmart and we wern't to park there. I told him even if Walmart only leassed the parking lot, they should be able to grant parking permission. I will never grace their town with my presence again.
