Just bought one of those, hand crank cigarette machines.
You know what, the darn thing works great.
Figure I will cut my addiction costs by half at least.
Anybody else use one? Good place to buy tobacco? That you know?
And with respect, yes, I very well know the cost of smoking, so with respect, please no cancer copd stories.

I've read that some people have actually gone so far as to grow their own tobacco.

I am trying to quit tobacco & have bought an electronic cigarette from eSmoke.com.
Unfortunately, the battery was defective, I had ordered a second battery but one is not enough for a heavy smoker like me. I had to relapse untill the replacement battery comes & I ordered another battery just to make sure. The initial cost is high, but the replacement cartridges are only $14.95 per 5 pack - equivalent to a carton.
I've tried unsuccessfully all the other ways to quit. This method is promising in that you get the nicotine while doing the same basic motions. It is also legal to use wherever smoking is banned.

Wish I'd known you were going to buy the machine. I quit five weeks ago (Good on me!!!!). I have one and a whole mess of the tubes, as well as a big unopened bag of tobacco (menthol).
I've been wondering what to do with it all. One of the kids wants it; he's forty and is going to smoke whether or not, so I guess I'll send it all to him.

I have been to at least 2 restaurants where the use of electronic cigarettes are prohibited in the Boston,Ma. area.

If you want to cut down your habit with your machine, don't make a cigarette until you want one!!! Smoking is an addiction, yes, but it is also a habit. To prove it try putting your smokes in a different place. No shirt pocket but where you have to consciously get up and go get one.
See how many times that hand dives into that empty pocket without you even realizing it!!! Then you can decide if you really want one or was it just the habit taking over.
I know. I was a heavy smoker for 44 years. Finally was able to quit 3 1/2 years ago. Hardest thing I ever did but the best thing I ever did for myself.
And yes, my hand kept diving into that empty pocket for several weeks after I quit!!!
Have fun with your new machine!!!
