Hello everyone. Guess I will have to get my TT pic on a signature here

Anyway, all of a sudden I am blowing the 15 AMP fuse in my WFCO Ultra Distribution Panel Model WF-8945AN. Parked the trailer at home, everything working fine. Spent a few hours washing the bug splats off the nose and noticed water running out of the refrigerator panel on the side. I was nowhere near it when washing. Unhooked the battery, pushed in a new fuse, hooked the battery up and pop. Now it seems that, that one circut fires the refrigerator, iginition for the hot water tank, furnace and the fan on the AC unit (circut is marked APL). That's a lot of wiring to check for a short. I guess my question, has anyone had any issues with that particular panel first. I am waiting for a call from my dealer and have not yet tackled the obvious ... attempting to disconnect each of the units till the fuse doesn't pop. The TT is a 2005 Surveyor 263 (which I do not recommend anyone buy if you are planning on using it extensively!)

It would seem from your description that something is on when the fuse goes in. You could try making sure each device is in the off position, then turn on one thing at a time to see when it blows.

Get some Spray Nine to wash bug splats off. Just spray it on, then give them a light brushing with a soft brush. Within seconds they are gone. A badly splattered nose might take ten minutes of washing.

hope this helps, Mike

Sounds like the water from washing gave you a problem. You need to start isolating the circuits. Fridge first to find the short.

Question: Did you hook the battery up correctly??

Thanks guys,

Battery is hooked up properly. All the components were in the off position. Unless, there is a component on it I have yet to find. I am currently trying to get a wiring diagram of the actual trailer from Forest River - does the phrase "when hell freezes over" sound familiar? Too bad my nearest authorized service is 2.5 hours away, but there is a guy here in town that will look at it but won't promise he can repair it

You may have a bad invertor/convertor....ther is a bad batch out ther and I know cause I had one...in a brand new trailer. Thers no reason or warning, they just go! And from what you are describing, it sounds like it's from that bad batch....
