I bought mine through PPL in Houston. They had it in stock and shipped it to the body shop where my CRV was undergoing repairs from hitting an unisured deer! Only took a couple of days to get there but I am also in Texas.

Have you tried Roadmaster directly?

just phish the rv wholesalers on the internet...had my 07 cr-v done in mt... major job.. i watched the guy and had to help him with part of it...would do it myself next time...they had to remove entire lower grill bumper section...there's a foam type shock absorber behind the bumper section which has to be removed...i saved mine incase i ever remove base plate...yours probably got destroyed but s/shop probably ordered you a new one..base plate installation removes all of the front crash absortion material...don't know if the blue ox system is any better...CAUTION when you order base plates thats ALL YOU GET.. the safety chain and spreader bar brackets are EXTRA...didn't realize this as i had bought the whole package as a unit for my chevy pickup towed....hardware comes with towbar not baseplates....good luck

I agree, if a blueox would fit I would certainly use it and buy the adaptors for the roadmaster tow bar...

Sorry, guys, I just spent a half hour looking at the Roadmaster and BlueOx installation instructions for the 07 CRV. Both products looked well engineered and had more similarities than differences.
I am not sure we are not getting into a "Ford" vs "Chevy" debate here.

Well lets just say that if you want to haul around a lot of extra garbage with the different designs and pay for these extra pieces then go for that one...

Just my 2 cents, have been using demco for years ( 2005 honda civic) when I bought my 2009 CRV I got another Demco Baseplate. Talked to the factory direct they now make the baseplates so that they can take a blue ox towbar. And they are bulletproof
