I have a couple of fire proof boxes that I normally keep all my important papers in at my home. When we leave, I just transfer them to the MH. That way they stay in the same locations that I know they are at where ever I go.

I hate to be morbid, but, Please, do the ICE (in case of emergency) thingy on your cell phone. That is soooooo important. And please make it NO 1 !!!

ICE?
Here's the explanation:
ICE
It is a good idea that has been around since 2005, but seems to have gotten more attention in the last few months.

This site says to program as ICE-1, etc, which makes it more difficult to find. If you set it up as 1-ICE, 2-ICE. etc, it will be the 1st numbers in your phone book.

You must remember that if you are in some place that is strange to you, such as the valley, and you have problems, the necessary people DO NOT KNOW you or anything about you. The first thing they do is get your cell phone and go thru you "contact" list. Naturally no 1 should be who to contact in an emergency so they can advise on the steps to take.

Thank you folks, I have never heard of this before, but it sure makes sense. Not only will mine and DW's phone be set up, I will advise our family on this. Gotta love this forum, never too old to learn.

Ammo...finding ammo and reloading supplies was a real pain this year everywhere.

Dog rabies and shot records as said,

and the only two numbers you will ever need;
1. American Red Cross, these great folks will help you any hour anywhere, and find and contact anyone you need in an emergency, they are there for everyday 'emergencies' not only the big news issues, they are tops in our book!

and 2. the NRA, the National Rifle Association is not only a association dedicated to preserving your Rights under the US Constitution but is a family network of Americans who help Americans, they have legal staff on hand 24/7 and are fast to respond with attorneys, local numbers or any peronal help they can give. Think of the NRA as Freemasons, Elks, boyscouts or Knights of Columbus but armed to the teeth, they are there when you need them and we've used them for car rental, emergency hotel rooms, and legal counsel all over this country. Best thing you will ever get for $35 a year.

Check the renewal date on your drivers license, you can renew anytime after October 1st for the following year in Minnesota. Mine always comes due in March when I'm in Texas or Arizona.
