We have a 1990 Winnebago Warrior, 19 ft. This summer we noticed that the cab over seems to be dropping (so that the top of the driver's door rubs on it when ever it's opened). When we pulled up the bed padding we noticed that the plywood flooring was splintering and seems to be rotting. Question #1 -- is this problem fixable by replacing the plywood flooring and if so how difficult/expensive a fix is this? #2 -- What about the dropping of the cab over? A problem and if so any suggestions to repair? #3 -- We are also noticing a "wooden" squeak in the floor near the back and think that the plywood in the flooring may also be rotten there. Again -- Is it fixable?
We love this old RV, and it has no other problems, but are thinking of selling it and getting something newer. Any advice and help will be appreciated. PS -- We live in the southwest, so the RV frequently sits in the sun and heat.

Anything can be repaired if given enough effort. It surely would not be financially feasible to hire someone to make proper repairs, but if you are extremely handy and determined, others with such skills have been successful. It does involve replacing the entire under-structure in the cab-over bunk. The sides and base platform are likely the culprit for the sag as they have given way to rot and time. You will have to remove the exterior fiberglass sheating, replace all exterior structural plywood, and rotton studs & joists. It is a "Major" project.

I advise to consider replacing it rather than repair it properly. The Warrior was a nice little Toyota based Winnie. There are a lot of newer Ford and Sprinter based ones of similar size today. The Phoenix Cruiser being one I own. We upgraded from This 17 foot Toyota Mirage

We rebuilt the entire snout. took 2 drywall jacks and a 2x12 jacked it up just so it would support the snout, Then went inside ripped out all the wood that was rotten, gently raising the jacks till we got the cabover where we wanted it then replaced the wood and laid down new plywood. Ck your roof for leaks you may have to replace some of the studs up there. I then used 4x8 sheets of heavy duty plastic from Lowes for the ceiling and sides,(it can't rot or stain) 15.00 a sheet. Good Luck you can do it. My DH thought I was crazy but it is done and our grandD loves her condo. E-mail me and i will walk you thru it.
