We had the same problem until we bought the X-Chock locking tire chocks. Just got back yesterday from the first trip with them and can not believe the difference they made. I would recommend them to anyone.

To make making the beds easier I utilize the "Emergency Exit" at the bottom of the tent. With this you can go outside and tuck the sheets and blankets at the far side of the bunk without having to climb over.

Save your money and make your own wheel chocks. I made a set of these for us and all our camping buddies. As a matter of fact I have to make another set. It cost about $10.00 to make if you don’t have any of the supplies around the house. However I used left over 4x4 from a fence we put up and it cost me $6.00 a set.

Thanks everyone

We are going to get x chocks today. Also, we noticed in the campfround that many people had taken off the wheel to the hitch. We left ours on and at home when not using the camper. Do we need to take the wheel off while camping.

Thanks

Hammer the chocks in as far as they will go. Also, the less you lower your stabelizers the less it has to move. So the more wood under your stabelizers the better.

We also have two sleeping bags zipped together, but we also have sheets inside so the bags do not have to be washed but once a year. We took 2 twin size sheets and stitched them together at the bottom. The twin size opened flat in the bags are a perfect fit. They come out to be washed and then just slide them back into the bags when setting up.

Last weekend our site was the roughest we had ever been in, way out of level and lots of deep pot holes. I had to use so many leveling blocks I couldn't use my chocks.

Luckily, there is a Camping world right there in Bowling Green about 2 miles from our CG. We bought more leveling blocks (needed them too) and the BAl roto chocks. They worked really well and take up less space than my chocks.

I too don't use the wheel when on site.

The stabilizers and chocks are part of DH job description, but he does just what others have said and occasionally has to "tweek" them just a bit to stop the wiggling. Now the beds.....we're one of the ones who needs real sheets, blankets and quilt (in the colder months). A friend asked me if we made the beds from the outside and I thought she was nuts - - until she explained and it fixed the problem 100%. I'm the inside person - DH is the outside person. We just pull the corners of the fitted sheet over our corners, straighten the flat sheet and tuck in (you can get the foot tucked in very well this way), ditto the blanket and quilt. THEN DH secures the velcro and ties on the bunkends. Assuming you have queen size bunkends, I read on the HYX forum even before we took delivery of our ROO that the Walmart "cheapie" sheets work best since they are not made for the thicker mattresses. Since you are using toppers, you may have to spring for some better ones. I use DOUBLE SIZE blankets and quilts, since we don't need all that overhang on the sides. They still tuck in well. Try this, you'll save your back.

Made these with some 4x4's and some old pipe clamps. They work great.
