You might want to consider some of the motorhome only parks with a 10 year rule.

Here's the deal. Campgrounds are for camping. Campers like fires. If you don't like fires, don't go where they are allowed. It is a free country, at least for the near future, and you can just pick up the jacks, disconnect and move.

If you see people with big MH's staying indoors all day, what's it to you?

WOW, lets start the class war. I kinda take offense to this. I have a class A and don't care what you are camping in. I bought my MH instead of a T/C, TT, 5er or PUP for several reasons the biggest of which was that it suited me. I have camped in lots of things and have admired people for camping, not their campers.

BTW - I was the original OP. As an fyi - my travel is NOT to sit in the coach but go biking/hiking in the morning and ride the Gold Wing all afternoon. Come home and enjoy a handful of nuts and a beer (or two). Not exactly a spoiled RV'r - hard to spoil an ex-jarhead.

If I build a fire, it will be because;
1. It helps keep skeeters away
2. Hotdogs and burgers and bratwurst cooked on a spit or willow stick over an open fire taste better than any other way of cooking them, AND they are "healthier", because all the grease cooks out and drips into the fire.
3. I like to have a fire after dark, to cook marshmallows, and just sit around and talk. It is relaxing to me and my family.
As for the rug, I don't have one. We talk about getting one now and then, but so far we haven't. Just don't see any need for it.
There is no need to remove shoes before entering our RV, either. I would rather have your dusty shoes or boots on my carpet than your dirty, sweaty, stinky bare feet or socks.

I read and reread your post.

First I wonder why you worry so much about others.
Second its not your business what others do as long as they do not infringe on you.

My last thought on this , you should get out of your RV and enjoy

I live in a rural setting and have been here all of my 54 years. I have seen a lot of people migrate from the citys to the country because of the country setting. The first thing they complaint about is there is no city water and waste water and no side walks and street lights. The question that comes up is why did you move to the country? I had to get that off of my mind.
