I just bought a new coachmen catalina and have used it for about two weeks. It has a slide out that has a tarp covering on the bottom. After sliding it out this past weekend I noticed that the tarp covering has started to seperate and come loose from the bottom of the slide out. When I returned home I slid the side out to clean and now the tarp is completely loose and actually hanging down now. I have called the dealer and plan on taking it back to them needless to say I am very upset with this. Has anyone had this happen? Will they have to take the slide completely out in order to fix this problem? Thanks for your help.

sound like to me the tarp was installed too tight and every time you let out the slide it goes past it's point of tearing and now is completely undone.

That is something that has come to mind I thought about just taking the cover off but I stop short because it came with the cover in tact. I feel if it came with the cover it shoudl always have one that is why I want to dealer to look at it and fix it. I am just not sure. I am hoping that the dealer doesn't just suggest cutting it off and that's it. It is a brand new trailer and I don't think it should have this problem. I don't think it is from anything I did wrong. I just slid the thing out and in...isn't that is what it was made for???

That is my thought exactly. I do agree in taking it back. It is a new trailer and it needs to go back. However if it was a few years old I would likely cut it off and forget it.

Had a fleetwood that did the same thing. Get it fixed is my reccomendation. Didn't fix mine and the cheapo plywood floore delaminated and rotted out. On the plus side, I got rid of the trailer after only 2 years and went with a holidar rambler. You guessed it! I am not a fleetwood fan

No it is not the underbelly it is just under the slide out. It is an actual tarp material.

If that is the only thing you found wrong...You are lucky. Don't get upset over the little things that can be fixed.
