I'm able to get here at least 2 times a year... Galveston Island will always be home, even if I have to live 1,300 miles away in Ohio.

Nice truck; Are you satisfied with buying a SB dually? I love Ohio, I lived in Cleveland until my dad got the wander lust and moved us west.

We were attacked by bugs crossing the bay bridge (great Lakes)..
It took 2 days to get them off the truck and camper.. At first we thought it was starting to rain.

Be thankful you were not on a motorcycle.

Someone here posted about using fabric softener sheets on the camper. Last time we got back, I wet down the camper, wet down a softener sheet, swirled in circles lightly. I was amazed at how quickly and easily the blots that were formerly insects came off.

These were bugs sent by Satin.. They left black stains everywhere.. We used the fabric softener to get most off.. Tryed bug and tar remover.. When I got back home I used thinner to get the rest off.

My Grandparents live off Bay Shore Drive. I've been driving that stretch for years and cant count the hours spent cleaning bugs off from the Bay Bridge crossings.
Dryer sheets do a good job getting them off. You better get the jumbo box!
Another thing I just learned this weekend for gelcoat/fiberglass is when your done washing, through some armor all in a bucket of clean water and go over your rig. Suposidly the bugs and junk come off real easy after that. I know it sure made my fiver look nice!

Have used Honda spray polish on the motorcycle/windshield and helmut face shield for quite a few years so we tried it on the TC and it seems to work well. Spray/wipe polish on the Truck and Camper after cleaning. The polish makes the dirt/bugs wash off much easier next time.
