my 09 Carrilite has a soft spot on the roof near the ladder. it is about 2" in diameter and it sags down about a 1/2 inch or so. I don't see any seperation in the back cap but am worried that is the problem.
I am in SoCal between LA and San Diego, any recommendations on a good service center to have it looked at? There is no Carriage dealer near by.
Thanks!!
The Carriage roof is sheeted with 1/2" exterior plywood, sounds like you may have a hole clear through the plywood. On an 09 5er, I'd suggest calling Carriage and speaking to them about the soft spot.
Is it a bubble where the roofing material has lifted from the plywood underneath? Or is it a soft spot in the plywood. If it's just lifted, I think that happens and is nothing to be concerned about. We have a number of them and the roof is fine after almost 4 years. If it's soft underneath however, get to a dealer. It should be covered under warranty.
Good luck,
