If the water inlet were to be installed I would think the LEAST one would do is GLUE the cover shut and label NO WATER INLET....IMHO, of course

My lawn mower picked up a rock and punched a good sized hole in the outer skin. After a little thought I decided to install another vent cover over the hole since there was one below the hole the mower made. First I straightened out the siding as much as I could. Then covered the hole with foil duct tape. Then installed a vent cover similar to the other one.

I would CERTAINLY not be making the hole bigger to install ANYTHING to cover a hole. fix the hole itslef should be pretty easy. Even a tin can lid properly shapped and painted would be hardly noticable and wouldn't involve make MORE hole than you already have.

Cut up a beer can and caulk it on...paint to match if you're so inclined, but personally, I'd leave it label out.

Eternabond tape then a sticker on top of the tape if you think it may need a little more cover up. Water proof, flexible and the perfect size (when cut).

I went to storage last weekend to work on the TT, among other things, to apply eternabond on the roof at various places. To my surprise, I found a HOLE IN THE SIDING! Yep, it was a jagged hole about an inch by a half inch. I decided to cut the right size eternabond and apply. It's near the top, so it's not too noticeable.

Since your hole sounds like it is a bit bigger, I'd try to re-enforce it from the back and then apply eternabond.

Or, pick from one of the many great suggestions already mentioned...

Caulk it and cover with a blank electrical box cover painted to suit.

Go to a RV store and get a round louvered vent cover..really these are made for a slight problem,,fill the hole with caulk, caulk around the round vent, put in the two screws..and you are good to go..I have seen these vents white or aluminum, probably could paint to suit the camper..I have used these a couple of times and they just look like a vent for something..I think the vents are either 3 or 4 inch//
Good luck

To me, sounds like a great place for a stick on reflector from walmart for 2-3 bucks in the lighting section/automotive

How about covering the hole with one of these? (water inlet) Inexpensive and it will look like it belongs there. Caulk and get on down the road....

Hmmm, and then somebody else hooks a hose to it and turns on the water and

I think one might assume that the person who suggested that would figure anyone doing this for cosmetic reasons would inform anyone else who might use the camper and also if anyone else bought it. Not sure why some would assume that the person who suggested it did so in any attempt to dupe anyone as in if it was sold in future...
