Well here it is only Sept 10th and I've just finished winterizing the TT. Previous commitments are going to prevent us from getting out any more this season. It was a pretty wet and cool summer up here in the great white north, but we enjoyed as always the times we did make it out.
For those of you who are going to write in saying: "I can't believe your shutin' it down already!! We'll be camping until...................of course I'm jealous! Wait until next year!!
Which brings me to my question. What if any plans are you thinking about for next season? Any cross country trips planed? Any visits to us up here Toronto way? Our family is probably heading east again next season to see friends and family "down east". I'm looking forward to reading your replies.
Hope you all had a safe and fun time this season and we'll see ya on the road real soon!!

Shame on you, winterizing already. Well, You can take credit for being the first. Sneak away and head south for a week. Oh well, I hope your winter goes well and fast. At least you can get some entertainment here. We are planning on a weekend trip sometime in January up your way.
Don't like the view?? Then change it and Go Camping Our pics

I know the feeling. I have one more trip planned and will winterize after that. One more trip, if the forest fires are put out and the helicopters are gone from our camping site. I was driving by my son's place the other day and was thinking it's time to do his TT also. then theres my SIL's TT too. We get together and winterize, it is so much easier that way. We can do all three of them in an hour.

Fraser, I think I am done for the year here too but haven't got as far as winterizing yet. We usually like to make one final trip in late September, early October but I don't think the kids activities are going to let us this year. We did take the TT up to the Toronto area last summer and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Not certain about plans for next year. Have a good winter and be ready for that first spring trip.

I've got one more trip booked for October. Looking forward to it. After that, we're moving. Buying a house, with room for the trailer!!! Won't have to store it offsite any more.
I'll have to see if I'll winterize at the house or at the storage. It'll depend on how fast it gets cold.
Next year? Hope to do some trips. I'd like to get at least one trip to VA, but my brother wants to join us for a trip too, so perhaps NY.

Let's see ------- I was just out in the trailer fixing a push-pull battery disconnect switch, and all I was wearing was shorts and a light shirt.
I have never winterized any of my trailers.
We camp all year round and never look back!

For us winterizing means making sure we pack a pair of long pants and not just shorts.

Wow, thats too bad, I am in your region and enjoy winter camping. We camp all year round, there is no camping season. Winterizing, heck I won't even think of that until well after Thanksgiving, but even when winterized there are campgrounds around here which stay open year round. Give it a try, you might enjoy it!

Sad news indeed. We have proabably one more trip in October before shutting down for the winter. It will be too long until April for sure. We are going to try and pull off Disney next year early in the season, then have some weekend trips planned throughout the area at this point. I've found that the wife is almost more excited about planning camping trips than actually going on them!
