Finally, after having the house up for sale for 7 months, we have a contract with the closing date set for September 30. We have been full-timing in our driveway for two months and are so anxious to hit the road.
We'll head to the Gypsy Journal rally in Ohio and just keep on going. Now the fun begins of figuring out where to go first. Won't go too far because we want to be in TN for Christmas with the family, but the day after Christmas we are heading to Florida or south Texas.
Just wanted to give hope to the rest of you who are "stuck" waiting on the house to sell.

Congratulations on getting an offer on your home. We have had ours on the market for over two years since DW retired.
My wife wont part with her horse nor I my cars so we looking forward to using our cottage as a home base and hitting the road more often with the MH. I expect it will be a different MH once the house is gone.

Sweet! Enjoy the sensation of driving away on your trip to the deeper south when you go...it's a humdinger of a feeling to know you're finally on your way!

We, too, lived in our driveway in our motorhome for two and half months, after auction to sell "things" out of home, then retirement. The house then sold seven months after retirement began!
We too will be at the Gypsy Rally in a couple of weeks. We are looking forward to saying "hello" to you.
Full time motorhoming is wonderful! We spend the winters in Texas.

Congrats! Mine was on the market 26 months by the time I closed on it. Settlement was actually at the house (buyers request, didn't ask why) so I had the check in hand when I drove away for the last time. Next stop was the credit union. I didn't have that check in my hand 30 minutes before I handed it to them. That was another good feeling.
Your new adventure begins in just over 2 weeks.
