I need help?
I have a leaking heater core on my 1994 Fleetwood Coronado.
Its a 454 engine on a P30 chassis.
The heater core is on the right side (passenger side) front.
Can the heater core be replaced from the front or does it come out from under the dash?

You will have to work from both sides.

Hi mtnman1989,
Don't mean to "piggy back" your concern,I own a 1993 P30 Coronado with a climate control problem for which I need to access the heater box,(my recent post 9/9/09 P30 heater problem) great advice from forum.... but so far my diagnostics continue. Presently theres no distribution function(ie:vent,floor)stuck on defrost.I'm perplexed, it appears there are 3 points of repair,remove dash,disassemble heater box from engine compartment or remove kick panel on passenger side ,all 3 have there challenges so until some "expert free advice"comes along I think wait to tackle this problem,hopefully you'll receive some knowledgelable help from the forum,please private message should you have any luck with your repair, I'll do the same.

This might sound stupid. But if you dont travel in the winter. Why have a core? Im sure if you winter camp it would be needed. But if you fall camp. The dog house puts out enough heat, I have never turned my heater on.
But in your guestion, looking at mine. I would say inside. I have a access panel which opens up the core on the PS. I have to remove a cup holder mounted on the top of it. But looking at the outside. It is made much like a pick-up firewall.

I will let you know what I find out.
I did some heater core searches but did not learn anything.
I did find out I can buy a new heater core off the shelf for $29.95!
Now I just got to figure out how to get it out?

you can probably find a replacement core at napa...when you remove it just take it to them and they'll match it up....as for the guy stuck in defrost its either a vacuum line or a frozen cable or flap in vent tube, liquid wrench sprayed in the ends of the cable, repeatedly and allowed to soak should free it up...

The box will come off from the inside but the hoses are mounted from the outside, you have to work from both sides.

We travel year round, we need some heat this year.
Last winter we had to run the furnance while driving a couple of times.
