I've seen people pull into a campground and spend days setting up stuff and then tearing it down, even for just a three-day weekend. I never understood that. I want to get there, get setup quickly, and then relax. I don't want to spend all my time setting stuff up and then putting it away.

It takes us about an hour to set up once at the CG. I do the inside and hubby does the outside and both of us do the awning together. The only decoration if you can call it that is the flex-lights on the awning. We like the light rather than stumble around in the dark outside after sundown. The outdoor rug is to help keep the TT clean inside and allow me to walk around barefoot on the ubiquitous gravel in all the CGs. If we're just stopping somewhere to sleep for the night it takes no time at all. We look for a level spot and put the coffee on......

We are new to camping this year , we just set up little by little the first day. All major things first, like leveling and hook-ups, then everything else as needed. Tearing down is similar. Pack some things the night B4 like awning so I don't have to dry it or put away wet, chairs after the fire, etc. When camping, I do not like to be rushed, it is supposed to relaxing - for me anyway. Happy camping!

About 30 minutes to set up after backing in and about the same to take down. I do the outside, DW does the inside. Then when we're in the truck ready to pull out, I run the checklist I keep over the sun visor one more time.
Happy camping!!! See ya'll down the road!!!
Ditto we tag team it and works great.

This is what I do too, except I pack it 2 nights prior. On the eve of departure, I do all the checks (tire pressure, lug tightness) and start the fridge.
When we arrive at the CG, I get out the volt meter and check the post, first thing. If all is good, I back in and check side-to-side level. If that is good, I plug in and get the A/C running. Then comes the chocking, unhitching, and front-to-back level. Out come the slides and then we stabilize. I'd say, we're done in about 20 minutes. By that time, the trailer has cooled some.
There's nothing to do on the inside, everything is already in its place.

I have subtracted a lot of stuff, the awning lights will be used only on our longer vacation. This time we threw the mat down, couple chairs, BBQ, have to put the palm tree out and done. Then you ask why palm tree is a must. My DD bought it for me for a BD present so it means something to me. It was very easy weekend. Took a lot of your advice. Junk the solar lights, outside decor, no propane grill, not even the screen tent, wow when you think of it we make more work for ourselves by all the extras, we were actually ready to go in 30 minutes, how sweet is that. I did go for a nice walk and seen a lot of people that just camp then I seen a lot that brought the house with them. No more for me, to much work. I quit shopping for camping stuff, even if it looks nice I am walking away. Ty for all great advice.
The outdoors is a wonderful place to be....

What is the first thing you unpack and the last thing you pack away when leaving ? For me, it is the cooler.
