You removed your slide out locks?

States I have spent the night in my current rig, bought three years ago.
Have RV'ed through 49 states and been in all 50, just short of my half-century.

Fulltimer 50,i,m curious why? Just for interest ,check the upper corner seals on the outside of the big slides, you may notice some wear from the slides moving slightly during travel.I noticed this on ours,so will be more diligent in locking them.

If you try to open the slide with one of the locks still in place, it will force the slide out of alignment. :-( They are also not user friendly, the screws that hold them came loose, and they weigh a lot.
I have had several 5th wheels w/ slides and none of them had locks either. I always make sure the slide is tight when closed and have not "seen" a problem with any of them to date. Not saying it cant happen.

OK ,you got me curious about the slide locks,so i went out to have a good look.Unlocked you can move the top of the slide approx i/4 inch by rocking it.Locked you can not move it, plus you can see how it pulls the top in,likely the reason they are mounted on the upper part of the slide.
